Singapore Dimensions (Each grade will have the
Singapore textbook and workbook through Singapore Math). This
is also what I used in the classroom while teaching middle school
math the past few years. We will use hands on manipulative to go
with the lessons, as well as utilizing the IXL program for extra
practice skills and to extend their thinking.

Within this program I am going to be utilizing the Elemental Science
Curriculum, but also supplementing things that are tried and true
from my previous experience. Science will focus on hands on
activities such as dissecting squid, and labs like determining PH
levels from different substances. Students will keep a vocabulary
and science notebook to record all data as well.
Students will be
focusing on Novel Studies to align with the FL State Standards as
well as books on the appropriate reading level for all students.
Book studies include A Long Walk to Water, The Strange Case of Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Heart of a Samurai, Number the Stars, and
Restart. This helps focus on reading groups, community, and
analyzing books with discussions and engaging activities. Within
these novel studies students will be learning different skills and
standards laid out by the state of Florida.
